Welcome to the Briar Patch, your source for affordable and unique Fairy Tale children's clothing and gifts. We specialize in children's special event clothing: flower girl dresses, first holy communion dresses, boys suits and tuxedos. We even offer christening dresses, christening gowns, and christening rompers or suits.

Ours is a storefront boutique shop with an incredible selection of lovely children's items. Our specialty is whimsy. We are amazed at times how affordable quality merchandise can be when carefully researched.

Please know that our shop is a true boutique. We are not a discount or warehouse operation. Our policies and procedures are those of a well established, storefront business. This means flower girl dresses, party dresses, not even boys suits are "warehoused". As do most bridal salons or specialty dress shops, we order fresh items whenever possible exclusively for your special event, this is policy for orders of multiples in the same style and color as dye lots, material lots, and even accent lots (like flowers and ribbons) can vary between production runs.

Expectations of internet shopping can not always be applied to our shop. While we strive for kind and personal customer service and fast turn around of orders; we do not believe that warehousing volumes of stock is correct procedure for special ocassion wear.

If you are seeking the personal service of a high end specialty boutique but with a swifter delivery time; we may be just the shop you seek. While a traditional bridal salon will take 6-8 weeks to deliver special occasion items, we normally deliver within 10-1 business days.

Our hope is that we can make you and your family very happy with any purchase made from The Briar Patch. Please know we do our best to provide perfection, but being a human business...we do have human error. The more time we have to fulfill your order, the more time we have to correct any imperfection. Our experience is disappointment comes most often when timing is too short and our staff cannot re-order or re-ship an item. It pains us very much when any order results in sadness.

We will always take responsibility for any imperfection within our control, sadly, timing for your special event is beyond our reach. While some items ship immediately, and other take up to two weeks, please consider time to make an exchange or return should there be sizing problems or an error on our part.

To this end, please allow as much time as possible when ordering for special occassions. Also know this business makes us very happy, and we want to make you happy as well.

The Briar Patch makes a continual sincere effort to provide only the best quality and most unique items for all of our clients (and their children). We also strive to maintain a low and fair mark-up on all boys suits, flower girl dresses, fancy dresses, christening items, everything. To this end, an exhaustive research is continually in progress to find wonderful manufacturers and designers. We do our best to locate designers within the United States.
