Gifts! Gifts! Gifts! for Your Flower Girl and Ring Bearer
Here is a "top ten" list of practical and thankful gifts for your flower girl or ring bearer:
.) Jewelry or special tuxedo accessories to complete and coordinate your flower girls and ring bearers with the more mature parties of the wedding. A sweet consideration for a ring bearer is also a quality tie tack he can use throughout life for special occassions.
.) The actual flower girl dress or boys suit, boys tuxedo for the event. This is also a lovely gift if the family of the children has the expense of travel to attend and participate in the wedding. Also, purchasing the flower girl dresses or boys' suits yourself allows complete control over the selection if that is helpful in your planning.
.) Delicate bottles of quaility perfume or cologne, that are very lightly scented, but grown up enough to make the children feel special.
.) For girls more than boys, a doll dress that resembles her own (or the bride's gown) for her favorite doll. Perhaps for the ring bearer, consider a small model of your "get away car". Complete with "just married" on the window and maybe some candy in the trunk or backseat.
.) A fancy evening purse to match the flower girl dress or a "grown up" wallet for the ring bearer to tuck inside the interior pocket of his tuxedo (just like James Bond!). Be sure to include some cash!
.) If you are a creative person or know crafty people in your circle of friends or family,a unique idea is having two beautiful pillows crafted, one for your ring bearer to use in the ceremony and keep; one for the flower girl to take home to her sweet room as well.
.)Books, books, books. Most parents will appreciate the gift of a quality book. Consider a hardback edition of the timeless classics, Little Women or Little Men. Both share beautiful sentiment on life's celebrations. Look for special books with leather-look binding and old fashion gilded letters, or very pretty old fashion pictures on the hardback covers. Tie with a ribbon and a matching flower from your wedding decor.
.)This is an especially neat idea for children travelling to your area for the wedding. Arrange for gift certificates or admission and a meal at whatever child centered establishments grace your town: childrens museums, zoos, amusement parks, train rides, horse stables, museums, etc. Arrange tickets, gift cards with brochures and some spending money (perhaps a bottle of water, too) in a pretty/handsome bag that coordinates with your event colors or them.
.)A digital photo frame to which you can remotely (if necessary) download all the pictures or video from the event. Be sure there are many shots of the flower girl or ring bearer and their own family.
.)An indulgent assortment of small art and craft supplies that are just as amazing at home as on the plane as in the hotel room....as on the table at the reception if necessary. Art supplies are essential to children of almost all lifestyles. Look for very unique things, beeswax crayons, real artist pencils, a true drawing sketch book. Fix this all up in a tote that coordinates with your event.
